U.K. MIDWEEKS: BTS MAP A #1

BTS are heading for a second #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Charts with Map of the Soul: 7 (Big Hit) outselling its three competitors combined at the halfway point. Over on singles, The Weeknd has knocked Billie Eilish down to #2.

Map of the Soul: 7 is the best-selling album of the week so far on CD and download formats. It follows Map of the Soul: Persona, which hit the top of the U.K. charts last year.

At #2, Ozzy Osbourne’s Ordinary Man (Sony) is on course to become his highest-charting album as a solo artist; it is the best-seller on vinyl midweek.

Stormzy’s Heavy is the Head (Atlantic/Merky) is set for a Top 5 return at #4 following its arrival on vinyl. Other new Top 10 entries include GrimesMiss Anthropocene (4AD) at #6, and Man Alive (XL) by King Krule at #7.

On the U.K’s Official Singles midweeks, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) has moved up one place to reclaim the #1 spot. Eilish’s Bond theme "No Time To Die" (Polydor) drops to #2.

British producer Joel Corry has risen seven places to #7 with “Lonely” (Asylum), and BTS are set to claim this week’s highest new entry with “On” at #8. The Weeknd's new track, “After Hours,” starts at #17.
