LVRN and Interscope have released a music video for “Come Thru,” the latest entrée from artist Summer Walker and R&B legend Usher. Directed by Lacey Duke, the steamy new clip was shot at the notorious 285 Flea Market in Atlanta.
Produced by London on da Track, the foundation of “Come Thru” was built on Usher’s 1997 hit “You Make Me Wanna,” which made him a natural choice for this special guest turn. Jermaine Dupri, who co-wrote the original track, also appears in the video. The song is the second single from Walker’s debut LP Over It, which debuted at #2 last fall and spent nine weeks in the Top 10, where it returns this week.
The RIAA recently handed out a Gold certification for “Come Thru” and 2x Platinum for the album’s lead single, “Playing Games.” Meanwhile, Walker’s breakout smash, “Girls Need Love,” from last year’s Last Day OfSummer LP, is also certified 2x Platinum. Collectively, Walker's catalog has been streamed 2.5 billion times globally.
Walker successfully wrapped her First and Last Tour in support of the album in late December, and has been confirmed to perform at Coachella 2020 in April.
