Def Leppard has returned to Sony/ATV Music Publishing, signing a global administration deal with Jon Platt’s company.
Def Leppard, which stayed off digital services until January 2018, has a 22-date North American stadium concert tour that starts in July. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers' music has been streamed 2.5b times in less than two years.
CSM Management Co-Founder Mike Kobayashi praised Global Chief Marketing Officer Brian Monaco as instrumental in closing the deal. “The band looks forward to working directly with Brian and his team to further extend their iconic brand & catalog.”
Monaco said Sony/ATV would be looking for opportunities within film, television and advertising.
“With timeless songs from ‘Rock of Ages’ to ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me,’ Def Leppard extends its pop culture relevance to today,” Platt said. “Working closely with Brian Monaco and the Sony/ATV team, we are thrilled to take their powerhouse catalog into the next millennium and beyond.”
