U.K. CHARTS: NEW RECORD FOR SELENA

Selena Gomez has hit her highest singles position in the U.K. with “Lose You to Love Me” (Polydor) rising 62 places to #3 on the Official Singles Chart. Parlophone has a double chart-topper day with Stereophonics at albums and Tones and I at singles.

Stereophonics’ Kind hits at #1 on 30k combined chart sales; it’s their seventh Official Albums #1. Tones and I’s "Dance Monkey" scored its highest weekly total yet with 86k combined chart sales, including 9.54m streams, to secure its fifth week at #1.

Back at albums, Kanye West is straight in at #2 with Jesus is King (Virgin EMI) matching the position he reached last year with Ye. James Blunt’s Once Upon a Mind (Atlantic) sits at #3 in the middle of an all-new Top 5 with Rick Astley’s The Best of Me (BMG) at #4 and Rex Orange County’s first official Sony release, Pony (Columbia), making his U.K. albums chart debut at #5.

Bruce Springsteen’s Western Stars: Songs From The Film (Columbia) ends the week at #11, Van Morrison opens at #13 with Three Chords and the Truth (Exile), and Neil Young With Crazy Horse’s Colorado (Reprise) is new at #17.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, Gomez claims her fifth Top 10 with “Lose You to Love Me,” while “Look at Her Now” is also new at #26.

Following the arrival of Jesus is King, West scores three entries in this week’s Top 20: “Follow God” at #6, “Selah” at #19 and “Closed on Sundays” at #20.

Lizzo has her first U.K. Top 10 single, "Good As Hell" (Atlantic), which is up 12 places to #7 following the release of a new remix featuring Ariana Grande. Coldplay are new at #27 with “Orphans” (Parlophone).
