U.K. CHARTS: FOALS WIN THE RACE

Foals are the winners of this week’s chart battle in Blighty with Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost –Part 2 (Warner) marking the band's first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Over on singles, Tones & I has a fourth week at the top on 81k combined sales.

Foals have topped the #2 peak Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost–Part 1 reached last year after a fierce chart battle with Dave. This week they were competing with James Arthur, who settles for second place with You (Syco).

Alter Bridge’s Walk the Sky (Napalm) is also new at #4 , while Polydor developing punk rocker Yungblud reaches #6 with his new EP, The Underrated Youth.

On the Official Singles Chart, Tones & I’s “Dance Monkey” outsold its closest competitor Regard by almost double and this week's sales included 9m streams. Regard’s “Ride It” (Ministry of Sound) remains at #2.

Ed Sheeran’s “South of the Border” (Atlantic) continues to head north, up three places to #4, while Lewis Capaldi’s “Bruises” (Virgin EMI) lifts three to a new peak at #6.

Two songs enter the Top 10 for the first time: Aitch f/ZieZie’s “Buss Down” (Since 93) climbs three spots to #8, and Maroon 5’s “Memories” (Polydor) leaps nine to #10.
