U.K. CHARTS: LIAM SCORES SECOND SOLO #1

Liam Gallagher has hit #1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart with Why Me? Why Not. (Warner Records) on 68k combined chart sales. Over on singles, Sony has three tracks in the Top 5 with Aitch, Kygo and Regard.

Gallagher has his second #1 as a solo artist and claim's 2019's fastest-selling vinyl album with 17k sales. Keane are also new at #2 with Cause and Effect (Island), followed by blink-182 at #6 with Nine (Sony).

Psychodrama (Neighbourhood) by Dave zooms 25 places to #12 following its Mercury Prize win with a 98% uplift on last week.

Mabel’s debut album, High Expectations (Polydor), also rebounds 12 places to #15 following two nights supporting Khalid at the O2 Arena in London, and the addition of her new Tiesto collaboration "God Is a Dancer" to the collection. The track is the highest new entry on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart today at #37.

Which is where Ed Sheeran and Stormzy remain on top for a fifth week with "Take Me Back to London" (Atlantic) on 53k combined chart sales.

Aitch has risen one place to reach a new peak at #2 with "Taste Make it Shake" (Since 93) on 39k combined sales, and Kygo is also up one place to #3 with the Whitney Houston collaboration "Higher Love" (Columbia). Regard rises six places to a new peak at #5 with "Ride It" (Ministry of Sound).

Tones & I's “Dance Monkey” (Parlophone) enters the Top 10 for the first time at #7, and there are new peaks for Jorja Smith's "Be Honest" f/Burna Boy (FAMM), up two to #16, and Dermot Kennedy's "Outnumbered" (Island) which rises three places to #17.
