FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

DaBaby’s KIRK (Interscope) beams straight to #1 at Apple Music and #5 at iTunes this flipover Friday as three country albums take the top three slots at iTunes albums.

On the songs side, DaBaby’s collab with Nicki Minaj, “iPHONE,” is already Top 20 at iTunes and, at #10 at Apple Music, “Off the Rip” is the top new track behind the previously released “Intro,” which continues to hold the top slot. “BOP” is #12.

Expect to see plenty of jockeying for position throughout the day as the early morning hours show an iTunes Top 10 of all new albums led by Jon Pardi’s Heartache Medication (Capitol Nashville) at #1.

The self-titled fifth album from Whiskey Myers (Wiggy Thump/Thirty Tigers) sits at #2 followed by Sturgill Simpson’s Sound & Fury (Elektra). Kevin GatesI’m Him (BWA) is #4 at iTunes and #3 at Apple Music.

Hellyeah’s Welcome Home (Eleven Seven) opens the doors at #6, one slot ahead of Adam Lambert’s Velvet: Side A—EP (More is More/Empire). Upchurch’s Parachute (Redneck Nation) is #8.

The Beatles stroll into the Top 10 with the Super Deluxe 50th anniversary edition of Abbey Road from Apple/Capitol/UMe. The standard version is #26 and our 8-track is still stick in the player in a 1972 Ford Pinto.

Tegan and Sara’s ninth studio album, Hey I’m Just Like You (Sire) is #10. New titles from Opeth, Steel Panther, Kristin Chenoweth and, yes, John Coltrane are in the iTunes Top 20.

At iTunes songs, j-hope f/Becky. G. have ladled a #1 with “Chicken Noodle Soup” (BigHit). The blind actor on This is Us, Blake Stadnik, put his musical theater chops to work on the show and lands a Top 20 tune with “Memorized” (Fox).

The other newcomer among the Top 10 streaming albums is Young M.A.’s Herstory in the Making (M.A. Music/3D) at #6.
