Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have edged ahead of Ed Sheeran to secure the #1 spot on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart today with “Senorita” (Virgin EMI/Syco) counting 8.2m streams this week. Over on albums, The Lighthouse Family have the highest new entry at #3.
With “Senorita,” both Mendes and Cabello have their second #1 following “Stitches” in 2016 and “Havana” in 2017. Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s “I Don’t Care” (Atlantic) ends an eight-week run at the top, dropping to #2.
The highest new singles entry is Post Malone f/Young Thug’s “Goodbyes” (Island) at #5. Birmingham rapper Mist has his strongest chart debut yet with “So High” f/Fredo (Warner Records) starting at #11, while South London collective D-Block Europe earn their third Top 40 single with the self-released “Home P*ssy” at #20.
On the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart, Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) claims a sixth week at #1.
