LIL NAS X, MILEY
AND A BUNCH
OF RAINBOWS

Lil Nas X and Miley Cyrus, who shared the stage at Glastonbury over the weekend, have a few things in common.

One is Billy Ray Cyrus, who is not only Miley's dad but also co-father to the smash remix of Lil Nas' "Old Town Road."

Another is Columbia boss Ron Perry, who inked the 20-year-old Atlanta rapper and has since been enjoying a gargantuan run and is also an old pal of Miley's (he once backed her on guitar during another festival).

Also, there's Trent Reznor. "Old Town Road" is built on a Nine Inch Nails sample, and Miley is currently enjoying a hit with "On a Roll," a mutated pop take on NIN's "Head Like a Hole" that she performed as a beleaguered (fictional) pop star on the U.K. sci-fi series Black Mirror.

Miley has been a major exponent of LGBTQ+ rights, whereas Lil Nas... well, according to various press outlets he may have come out around the time of the Glastonbury set, inspired by the developments of Pride month. You can read about that here. The tweets referred to in the story are somewhat vague, but you can draw your own conclusions.

In any case, Nas' retweets/replies to some of the responses to this sort-of news are pretty amusing. But back to the music. Let's check out a clip from a mega-Miley-Nas medley from Glastonbury.
