SPOTIFY LAYS THE HULU DOWN

Spotify and Hulu are bundling up. Starting on 3/12, all Premium Spotify subscribers will get the ad-supported version of Hulu at no extra cost. Which means you can experience not only the terrifying dystopian vision of The Handmaid’s Tale but also an equally chilling bevy of 30-second spots. We kid, but this package gives you more than 85k show episodes, movies and more, along with, you know, pretty much all the songs in the world. Read more about the show-to-song synergy here.

Individual Premium users can activate the deal on their Your Services page; those who haven’t signed up for it yet can visit Spotify.com/hulu and enjoy 30 days for free. Oh, and those who are paying $12.99 for last year’s bundle will be moved to the $9.99 price. The current offer runs through 6/10, “while supplies last”—because you never know when the factory will run out of Hulu parts!

The Hulu bundle follows such offers as a partnership between Premium and Google Home and a Student plan that includes both Hulu and Showtime.

“Today is the first time that we’re offering a Hulu plan to the masses as part of their $9.99 Spotify Premium subscription,” said VP/Global Head of Premium Biz Dev Marc Hazan, who often observes the masses from his jewel-encrusted hovercraft. “As we push towards making Spotify Premium a gateway to a bigger world of entertainment, we're fully committed to finding new ways to enhance the overall experience for our Premium users and this is just the beginning. Now, if I could just have the next slide, please.”
