Social media melted down today when Tony and Grammy Award-winning artist Billy Porter stepped onto the red carpet for the 91st annual Academy Awards in a showstopping, gender-defying feat of fashion.

Expertly working a custom Christian Siriano "tuxedo gown" piece, Porter won the night, hands down.

“What an honor it was to create this moment!” the designer tweeted about the look.
