“LOVE” AT FIRST LISTEN FOR ONE-OFF SUPERGROUP

Inveterate collaborators The Chainsmokers have teamed up with Aussie sensations 5 Seconds of Summer on “Who Do You Love,” and big things are expected for the single, which arrived early Thursday morning while America was sleeping (and is already trending Top 5 at iTunes as you read this). The Disruptor/Columbia duo has had a string of hits in partnership with artists including Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rozes, Daya and Coldplay, but this intersection of hitmakers is special in that Capitol’s 5SOS is the first band in history to have its first three albums debut at #1.

“Who Do You Love,” it should be noted, is a new song, not the one by YG featuring Drake or the one by Bo Diddley. It was co-penned by Sean Douglas, Oak Felder, Talay, Trevor Brown, Zaire Koalo, Andrew Taggart and 5SOS members Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford.
