FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Released Thursday out of the blue sky, Weezer’s surprise take on other people’s hits is not only ruling the world at iTunes, it’s no scrub at Apple Music either on this flipover Friday. The iTunes Top 10 is all new albums sitting happy together.

Besides sitting at #1 at iTunes, Weezer’s covers collection Weezer (Teal Album) (Crush/Atlantic) is #10 at Apple Music as well. Right behind them is Backstreet Boys’ ninth album DNA (K-Bahn/RCA) at #2 and Bethel Music’s Victory (Bethel) at #3.

The sixth album from Bring Me the Horizon, amo (Columbia) rises at #4 ahead of Rival SonsFeral Roots (Atlantic) at #5 and Michael Franti & Spearhead’s Stay Human, Vol. 2 (Boo Boo Wax/Thirty Tigers), which coincides with the release of his documentary Stay Human, is #6.

While her single with Selena Gomez, “Anxiety,” is climbing the songs chart, Julia MichaelsInner Monologue, Pt. 1 (Republic) chimes in at #7. Boogie’s “Everythings for Sale” (Shady/Interscope) is #8 at iTunes and #22 at Apple Music while XXXtentacion’s Wednesday release, Members Only, Vol. 4 (Members Only/Empire) is #9 at iTunes and #2 at Apple Music.

Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky’s act, Jack & Jack, is #10 with A Good Friend is Nice (Island).

Over on songs, J. Cole’s Wednesday release holds onto the top slot at iTunes and Apple Music with “MIDDLE CHILD” (Dreamville/Roc Nation).

Working their way into the Top 30 are Michaels & Gomez’s “Anxiety,” Daddy Yankee f/Snow’s “Con Calma” (Universal Latin), Vampire Weekend’s “Harmony Hall” (Spring Snow/Columbia) and Florence + the Machine’s “Moderation” (Republic).
