 BRIT AWARDS:
ALL THE NOMINEES

The 2019 BRIT Award nominations are in, with Anne-Marie, George Ezra and Jorja Smith counting three apiece. There are also multiple nods for Florence + the Machine, Little Mix, The 1975, Dua Lipa and Clean Bandit.

This year’s event takes place in London on 2/20, when the winners will be announced. Last year’s ceremony was a home run for Warner, with the label taking six of the 11 trophies. The year prior, Sony rolled out of the O2 Arena with seven, and added two more in total for Critics' Choice and BRIT Icon. Who will be crowned king this year?

In the main categories for British Album, Group, Male and Female Solo Artist and Breakthrough Act, there are nine independent entries, followed by Universal with seven and Sony and Warner with five apiece.

In the international categories, Universal and Sony bump their tallies up by five each, Warner adds three and the independent sector adds two. With twelve releases in the ten nominees for both best British single and video, Warner’s nominee count rises to 20, Universal’s four results in a total of 16, plus one win for Critics' Choice Sam Fender, and Sony adds six to also count 16. The independent sector closes with 11. FYI: one nomination for each label has been given for joint releases.
