CHART STORY: A KODAK MOMENT

Kodak Black's Dying to Live (Atlantic) tops the HITS Top 50 with nearly 94k. Fellow recently imprisoned star Meek Mill holds strong at #2 with Championships (Atlantic), followed by Michael Bublé's Christmas (Reprise) at #3—behind appearances on CBS Sunday Morning and Carpool Karaoke this week—and the award season darling A Star is Born Soundtrack (Interscope) rounding out the top four.

The second biggest bow goes to the Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack (Republic) debuting at #5 with roughly 53k. Bruce Springsteen's Springsteen on Broadway (Columbia) is the only other new release to crack the top 20 entering the chart at #14, no doubt given a boost by the Netflix bow of The Boss's filmed performance.

The most recent holiday set by Pentatonix, Christmas Is Here! (RCA) return to the Top 10 with 44k, while the a cappella wonders' Pentatonix Christmas holds at #17 with 38k. An array of other holiday releases, many of them perennials, are among the week's biggest gainers, including #13 Mariah Carey, who moves up five spots and racks up 40k+ with Merry Christmas (Columbia), #15 Nat King Cole (Capitol) and #19 Vince Guaraldi (36k, +52%). Look for these and other seasonal chestnuts to keep popping over the next week, including sets by Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams and other trap stars with face tattoos.

As far marketshare, UMG clocks in at #1 with 47%, followed by WMG with 27% and SME with 21%.

Streeting this week are 21 Savage (Slaughter Gang/Epic), A Boogie wit da Hoodie and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
