FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW RELEASES AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Today’s flipover Friday finds fans flipping out on both iTunes and Apple Music, but only two albums are battling to be the hottest at both services: Meek Mill Championships and Lil Baby’s Street Gossip.

Mill’s Maybach/Atlantic release is sitting at #1 at iTunes and and #2 at Apple Music; Lil Baby’s third project of the year, Street Gossip (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol), is #3 at Apple Music and #5 at iTunes. After that, the lists diverge.

The 1975’s third album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Dating (Dirty Hit/Polydor) is #2 at iTunes and #21 at Apple Music, followed at #4 on iTunes by Wheeler Walker Jr.’s WWII (Pepper Hill/Thirty Tigers).

Earl Sweatshirt, still keeping most of his songs at under two minutes, comes in at #6 on iTunes with Some Rap Songs (Tan Cressida/Columbia) and #14 at Apple Music.

Alessia Cara’s second full-length, The Pains of Growing (Def Jam) is #7 at iTunes with Red Velvet's RBB—The 5th Mini Album—EP (SM) at #8. Ski Mask the Slump God’s Stokeley (Victor Victor Worldwide/Republic) is #10 at iTunes and #11 at Apple Music.

Two albums from Trey Songz sit outside the Top 10 at iTunes but at Apple Music, 11 is #5 and 28 is #10. JID’s Di Caprio 2 (Dreamville/Interscope) is #9 at Apple Music.

Mark Ronson f/Miley Cyrus’ “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (Columbia) is the top newcomer at iTunes songs, coming in at #8.
