AL GORE TEAMS WITH CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT FOR SOMETHING KINDA URGENT

Former US Vice President Al Gore will host The Climate Reality Project’s eighth-annual 24 Hours of Reality broadcast, called 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves.

Broadcasting live from Los Angeles beginning Monday, 12/3 at 6pm PST, the show will travel around the globe, highlighting unique regional health impacts and celebrating local, national, and international efforts to implement meaningful climate solutions.

To assist in delivering the urgent message, various celebrities, musicians, elected officials, and thought leaders will join the broadcast, to be carried by TV partners globally and also streamed live at 24HoursofReality.org.

Performances include Sting & Shaggy, The Lumineers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Moby, Portugal. The Man, Robyn, Courtney Barnett, Goo Goo Dolls and David Crosby along with many more; and will feature appearances from activist celebs like Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Téa Leoni, Jaden Smith and Bill Nye The Science Guy.

“Our health depends on the health of the planet,” said Al Gore. “The climate crisis is not an abstract issue; it has direct impacts on us and the people we love the most. I’m looking forward to exploring the climate and health connection on this year’s 24 Hours broadcast and to discussing how we can take bold and ambitious action to ensure that future generations can live long, healthy lives full of opportunity and promise.”
