U.K. MIDWEEKS: SNOW STORM IN SPRING

Snow Patrol has #1 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart in its sites at midweek while Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's “One Kiss” (Columbia/Warner Bros.) is expected to hold on as the #1 single for a seventh week.

The Northern Irish group’s seventh studio album, Wildness (Polydor), is the current top seller and could become their first #1 in more than a decade. In 2006, Eyes Open hit #1 and sold 2.4m copies.

Other Top 20 newcomers include Biffy Clyro’s live album MTV Unplugged: Live at Roundhouse (14th Floor) at #4, A$AP Rocky at #11 with Testing (Polo Grounds/RCA) and Pusha T’s Daytona (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) at #13.

Several albums are enjoying a boost following BBC’s The Biggest Weekend, among them Taylor Swift’s Reputation, The ShiresAccidentally On Purpose and Florence & The Machine’s Lungs.

On the singles side, “One Kiss” has an added bonus thanks to Lipa performing the song prior to the Real Madrid-Liverpool Champion’s League final. Ariana Grande's “No Tears Left to Cry” follows at #2.

George Ezra's “Paradise” (Columbia) climbs two slots to #6 after it was used as the theme to Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend. Add two potential newcomers to the Top 10: Clean Bandit f/Demi Lovato’s “Solo” (Atlantic), currently #9, and Shawn Mendes' “In My Blood” (EMI), which is up eight slots to #10.
