U.K. CHARTS: CALVIN & DUA STREAM SECOND WEEK AT #1

Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa have fended off competition from Ariana Grande as the duo hold on to the U.K. Official Singles #1 for the second week in a row with “One Kiss” (Columbia/Warner Bros.), tallying 8.7m streams this week. Over on the Official Albums list, J. Cole is the highest new entry with KOD (Interscope) charting at #2.

Grande wasn’t far behind “One Kiss” as “No Tears Left to Cry” (Island) was streamed 7.3m times this week, earning the star her sixth U.K. Top 10 single. The second highest singles entry is Anne-Marie with Ed Sheeran co-write “2002” (Atlantic) entering at #8.

Climbers include Banx & Ranx, who surge 11 places to #7 with “Answerphone” f/Ella Eyre and Yxng Bane (Parlophone), while Maren Morris and Grey are up three places to #9 with “The Middle” (Polydor).

Two Avicii songs have entered the Top 40 following his untimely death last week, with “Wake Me Up” (Virgin EMI) at #26 and “Levels” at #36.

On the Official Albums Chart, The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is #1 for a 14th non-consecutive week.

With KOD, J. Cole has beat his previous U.K. best after Born Sinner reached #7 in 2013. The Shires are another new entry at #3 with third album, Accidentally on Purpose (Decca), and independent rapper Nines is the third with Crop Circles (XL) finishing at #5.

Black Stone Cherry are at #7 with Family Tree (Mascot) and a Sting and Shaggy collaboration 44/876 (Polydor) is new at #9. Further down, A Perfect Circle land a new U.K. chart high with Eat the Elephant (BMG) at #12.
