FLICKER ON FIRE

Niall Horan is #1. Flicker—the first solo album from the former One Directioner, out via Capitol—has debuted on our Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with just north of 148k.

Future & Young Thug’s collaborative project, Super Slimey (Freebandz/Epic), bows at #2 with approximately 75k, while RCA Nashville’s Chris Young scores the top country debut at #5 with 39k for Losing Sleep and Capitol Nashville’s Darius Rucker comes in at #6 with 34k for When Was the Last Time.

The only other new releases to make the Top 20 are Paper Route Empire’s Young Dolph (#17) and Bossier City RecordsTurnpike Troubadours (#19).

As for the noteworthy moves, Brand New’s Science Fiction (Procrastinate! Music Traitors) re-enters at #7 in tandem with the physical release of the record. Meanwhile at #11, Demi Lovato’s Tell Me You Love Me (Hollywood/Safehouse/Island) inches closer to rejoining the Top 10.

When It comes to SPS marketshare, UMG leads with 42%, SME is #2 with 28% and WMG is #3 with 25%, while the indies follow with 5%.

Streeting this week are albums from Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville’s Kenny Chesney, Atlantic’s Kelly Clarkson, Crush Music/Atlantic’s Weezer, Epic’s Yo Gotti, BMG’s Hollywood Undead, Slumerican/Shady/Interscope’s Yelawolf, Wheelhouse’s Granger Smith and Columbia’s Rachel Platten. An act called Ninja Sex Party is also releasing a set of covers independently, and we’re super bummed we now have to come up with a new name for our office holiday gathering.
