U.K. CHARTS: GEORGE MICHAEL FANS HONOR ICON

The Brits have paid respect to late beloved star George Michael by revisiting his catalog, as greatest hits set Ladies & Gentlemen (Sony) sees a 5,625% sales upsurge to hit #8 on the year-end Official Albums Chart. Over on the iTunes chart, it's at #2.

Four of his singles have returned to the Official Singles Top 100, with Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (RCA) at #7, and the second most streamed track of the week with 3.6m streams. Further down, “Careless Whisper” (Epic) is #44, “Faith” (Sony) sits at #64 and Elton John duet “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” (Columbia) is at #91.

Higher up, Clean Bandit have claimed an eighth week at #1 with “Rockabye” (Atlantic). With 44k downloads and 3.4m streams over the past seven days, the track becomes the second-longest running chart-topper in Blighty this year behind Drake’s 15-week run with “One Dance” (Island).

Rising star Zara Larsson has climbed four places to #2 with “I Would Like” (Black Butter), Rag’n’Bone Man is at #3 with “Human” (Columbia) while Little Mix stay at #4 with “Touch” (Syco) and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” (Columbia) does the same at #5.

Back on the Official Albums chart, Wham!’s The Final is at #40, 2006’s Twenty Five at #47, 1987’s Faith at #62, 2014’s Symphonica #73 and 1996’s Older #84.

Little Mix are back at #1 with Glory Days (Syco), followed by Michael Ball and Alfie Boe’s Together (Decca), The Wonder of You by Elvis Presley (Sony Music CG), Olly Murs24 HRS (RCA) and The Rolling StonesBlue & Lonesome (Polydor).
