ACM CONCERT HONORS COUNTRY GREATS

Kelsea Ballerini paid tribute to Crystal Gayle, Maren Morris honored Tanya Tucker and The Band Perry performed “MacArthur Park” in a salute to songwriter Jimmy Webb at the 10th Annual ACM Honors, held Tuesday at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

A two-hour special will air 9/9 on CBS and will include a duet of Alicia Keys and Cam on Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush,” Chris Young and Dan + Shay joining forces on The Statler Brothers’ “Flowers on the Wall” and Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell singing “I Love A Rainy Night” in tribute to Eddie Rabbitt. Dierks Bentley performed “Freedom” in tribute to Songwriter of the Year honoree Ross Copperman, joined onstage by participants of the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp.

Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Keith Urban and Bentley concluded the show with a tribute to Glen Campbell that consisted of “Southern Nights,” “Gentle On My Mind,” “Wichita Linemen,” “By The Time I Get To Phoenix” and “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

Lady Antebellum played host for the evening, which included the presentation of the inaugural ACM Merle Haggard Spirit Award to Miranda Lambert after she performed “Misery and Gin.”

Industry awards were also handed out to concert promoters and venues. Among the winners were Goldenvoice’s Stagecoach (Festival of the Year), Neste Event Marketing’s Gil Cunningham (Talent Buyer of the Year) and Live Nation’s Brian O'Connell (Promoter of the Year).
