GRAMMYLEGENDS SHOW GETS AIRDATE

Naughty By Nature, Ry Cooder and Kris Kristofferson are among the artists performing tributes to the 2016 recipients of The Recording Academy's Special Merit Awards that will air 10/14 on PBS.

Grammy Salute To Music Legends, a first-time event, will feature tributes to Ruth Brown, Celia Cruz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Jefferson Airplane, Linda Ronstadt, Run DMC, John Cage, Monument Records founder Fred Foster and Arhoolie Records founder Chris Strachwitz. The Airplane’s Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady and Marty Balin reunited for the concert filmed at the Dolby Theater in April; other performers include Earth, Wind & Fire, Shelby Lynne and JD Souther.
