U.K. MIDWEEK CHARTS: ADELE BACK ON TOP

Adele is back at #1 after 25 arrived on streaming services Friday and the XL star brought the house down at Glastonbury with an excellent headline set.

Her 25 is on course to enjoy its 13th non-consecutive week at #1 in Blighty after rising 13 places, with predecessors 21 and 19 also back in the Top 40 at #9 and #13 respectively.

Coldplay are very likely to enter the Top 5 before Friday after closing Glastonbury on Sunday night, past the time the current chart numbers were tallied. A Head Full of Dreams (Parlophone) was #6 before that.

Rick Astley has risen one place to #2 with 50 (BMG), while ELO, who also performed at Glastonbury are at #3 with All Over The World (RCA).

Another act that wowed at the festival is Because Music’s rising star Christine & The Queens; they’re at #4 with debut Chaleur Humaine. Red Hot Chili Pepper’s The Getaway (Warner), meanwhile, is down three places to #5.

Over on the Official Singles Chart midweek, Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners look set to finally steal the #1 crown from Drake. “This Girl” (3 Beat) is 3.5k combined sales ahead of “One Dance” (Island).

The rest of the Top 5 stands still: Justin Timberlake's “Can't Stop The Feeling” (RCA) at #3, Calvin Harris and Rihanna's “This Is What You Came For” (Columbia) at #4 and Drake and Rihanna’s “Too Good” (Island) at #5.
