WARNER/CHAPPELL, ROC NATION NASHVILLE PARTNER UP, LAUNCH RHYTHM HOUSE

Warner/Chappell Music has entered into a publishing partnership with the newly formed Roc Nation Nashville. It’s the latest venture between the pubco and Roc Nation, which inked global pub deals for Jay Z and other RN acts starting in 2013.

The two companies have also set up a JV, Rhythm House, with songwriter/producer/DJ/publisher Jesse Frasure, who has co-written with, produced and/or remixed songs by Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts, among many others. In tandem with the launch, Warner/Chappell’s BJ Hill will be upped to VP A&R and split his time between the pubco and Rhythm House.

W/C Nashville EVP Ben Vaughn counted himself delighted. “All of us at WCM are excited to expand our already successful relationship that started with Jon Platt, Jay Z and Jay Brown,” he proclaimed, adding shout-outs for Frasure and Roc Nation’s Tamara Conniff.”

Brown called the starting of Roc Nation Nashville “a natural extension of the relationship we started so many years ago,” adding, “our venture with Jesse Frasure and his Rhythm House take the possibilities to a next level.”
