Kierszenbaum with Stecker: Declaration of independence.

CHERRYTREE GOES INDIE WITH ADA

Cherrytree Records will be exclusively distributed through Warner Music Group’s ADA as it begins to operate as a wholly independent operation. The first release will be Skylar Stecker's This Is Me—The Signature Edition, which will come out in June.

“Our new, fully independent infrastructure corresponds exactly with our philosophy and gives us the resources and agility to serve our artists with even more flexibility and bespoke support,” said Martin Kierszenbaum, ruler of the Cherrytree Music Co.

The Cherrytree label, founded in 2005, spent its first 10 years as a JV with Interscope, launching the debut album by Lady Gaga as well as recordings by Feist, La Roux, Ellie Goulding, Far East Movement, Robyn and Disclosure.

Cherrytree also boasts independent management and publishing divisions, the latter administered by Kobalt. As an artist manager, Kierszenbaum reps A&M/Interscope recording artist Sting and new Warner Music Nashville signings The Last Bandoleros, among others.

In his copious free time, Kierszenbaum is also a songwriter, producer, mixer and online radio macher.
