AMAs: A RECAP

All the Winners and Big Moments From Last Night's Party

SYCO/Columbia's One Direction walked away with Artist of the Year at last night's AMAs. The 43rd annual event, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, took place at L.A.'s Microsoft Theater and aired on ABC. Naturally, the reigning Princess of Pop Taylor Swift led the pack with three awards, while 1D, Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd followed with two awards each.

Performers included Capitol's 5 Seconds of Summer, RCA's Walk the Moon, Interscope's Selena Gomez, Island's Nick Jonas, Warner Bros.' Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with Columbia's Leon Bridges, Capitol Nashville's Luke Bryan with Little Big Town member Karen Fairchild, Charlie Puth with Epic's Meghan Trainor, Safehouse/Island/Hollywood's Demi Lovato, 19/Arista Nashville's Carrie Underwood, Mad Love/Interscope's Gwen Stefani, XO/Republic's The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Parlophone's Coldplay, 1D, RBMG/Def Jam's Justin Bieber.

In celebration of the deluxe reissue of Jagged Little Pill, Lovato joined Alanis Morrisette for the staple "You Oughta Know."

RCA a cappella group Pentatonix, who were introduced by Harrison Ford and backed by a full orchestra, stole the show with their captivating vocal performance of John Williams' Star Wars theme. The gem was preceded by a never-before-seen clip from the upcoming franchise installment. The force was certainly with them last night.

And Celine Dion provided the most heartfelt and unforgettable moment of the night by performing Edith Piaf's “Hymne à L’Amour” in a touching tribute to Paris.
