RAURY THUMPS TRUMP ON NETWORK DEBUT

Raury made his network television debut memorable Tuesday night on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, wearing a political statement on his back, aimed as a silent protest against Donald Trump's outrageous comments about Mexican immigrants.

During his performance of "Devil's Whisper," the singer donned a Mexico soccer jersey with the name "TRUMP" emblazoned on the back and crossed out with a big X. It was powerful, considering the lyrics of the song's chorus have a church choir singing, "You better run/run from the Devil."

In an interview with VICE, the 19 year-old artist admitted that as soon as he heard the current front runner for the Republican presidential nomination would be a guest the same night he was scheduled to perform, that he wanted to take a stand.

"Trump embodies separation, solving problems with anger, fear, and personal differences, Raury said, "I’m all about the opposite, about being inclusive and open.”

His debut album All We Need drops on October 16th via LoveRenaissance/Columbia. Check out the performance below.
