The Top 5 Highest Grossing Films Domestically

Despite mixed reviews, Seth MacFarlane's Ted 2 scored the highest-grossing debut this week, landing at #3. Meanwhile, Jurassic World proves it just ain't messing around, holding at #1 for a third week. The film has broken another record, as it's now the fastest to pass the $500m mark domestically. Taking a mere 17 days, it races past 2012's Avengers, which did so in 23.

At #13, Fox Searchlight's Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, a sweet coming-of-age drama darkened by tragedy, sees a strong 175% bump in its third week.
