HANSON TAKES ON PD DUTIES AT ALTERNATIVE WKQX

Troy Hanson will take on PD duties at Alternative outlet WKQX Chicago, while also continuing in his role as Cumulus’ Corporate Programs Director for the format.

Hanson, who succeeds outgoing PD PJ, has had 25 years of programming experience all over the U.S.; he joined Cumulus in 2013.

Cumulus SVP, Content and Programming Mike McVay called Hanson “the perfect candidate for this position.”

Noted Hanson, “Cumulus has put together an amazing group of highly talented people in our Chicago cluster. Many thanks to John Dickey and Mike McVay for their continued trust in the course our rock brands are charting and in particular, for this new assignment on WKQX—which is incredibly exciting.”

Hanson then looked at his phone and saw 873 texts that said “Hey Buddy.”
