WATCH-INK, THE DETECTIVES

If you’re jonesing for an Apple Watch, you may come to regret that tattoo you impulsively got on your wrist last year. The device doesn’t seem to work as well when worn over ink, causing the product to repeatedly pause and demand security codes from wearers, The Verge reports. Other issues include inaccurate heart readings when the product is worn for exercise purposes.

The item quotes the results of a test conducted by iMore: “Dark, solid colors seem to give the sensor the most trouble—our tests on solid black and red initially produced heart-rate misreadings of up to 196 beats per minute before failing to read skin contact entirely.”
