Add Playboy

ADD PLAYBOY: Thanks to HITS' resident fact-checker and factotum par excellence Paul Grein, who clears up the Playboy suit against Drake and UMG. Turns out Playboy had a record label in the '70s, Playboy Records, which had a #1 record in 1975 with Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds' "Fallin' in Love," one of five chart hits the group (later Hamilton, Joe Frank & Dennison) had for them. In addition, the label had a "fair number" of country hits, including Mickey Gilley (a dozen Top 10 Country hits) and Hugh Hefner gal pal Barbi Benton (a Top Five Country hit with "Brass Buckles"). See what you learn here. (6/28p)
