ADJACENT MEDIA: In peripherally related news, BlackBerry announced that it has created a tablet of its own, dubbed the PlayBook (a catchier moniker than iPad), and Vivendi has sold its 7.7% stake in NBC Universal back to parent company GE for $2 billion. That removes another obstacle from a proposed deal in which Comcast would buy NBC Universal from GE. (9/28a)
