Pub Crawling in U.K.

PUB CRAWLING: BMG Rights Management has integrated the recent acquisition of Chrysalis Music Publishing into its U.K. operation by naming Alexi Cory-Smith and John Dobinson to head its newly minted BMG Chrysalis UK, according to Music Week. Cory-Smith, who joined BMG Rights Management in London last month as SVP, Legal and Corporate Development, now assumes overall responsibility for creative, marketing and business affairs as SVP BMG Chrysalis UK, while Dobinson, BMG Rights Management’s COO in Europe, will manage the operational side. Chrysalis Publishing UK managing director Alison Donald will leave the company, though it hasn’t been announced yet how Group CEO Jeremy Lascelles fits into the new structure. Two key A&R chiefs, Ben Bodie, currently head of A&R for Chrysalis, and Alan Pell, director of A&R for BMG/Stage Three, will report to Cory-Smith. The move will also see all publishing operations move from BMG Rights’ headquarters in Great Marlborough Street to the Chrysalis building in west London. (2/23p)
