BMI Names Foster Icon

BMI FETES FOSTER: David Foster will be celebrated as a BMI Icon at the 59th annual BMI Pop Music Awards, May 17, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in L.A. Hosted by President/CEO Del Bryant and VP/GM Writer/Publisher Relations Barbara Cane, the ceremony will also honor the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-performed pop songs in the U.S. The evening will include an all-star musical tribute to Foster, as well as the presentation of the Songwriter, Song and Publisher of the Year crystals. Previous BMI Icons include John Fogerty, Kris Kristofferson, the Jacksons, the Bee Gees, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, Merle Haggard, Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Carlos Santana and Dolly Parton.
