AMERICAN REPUBLIC: Rick Rubin’s label deal is said to be going to Monte Lipman’s Universal Republic, a la Tom Whalley’s new deal with the label, as Lipman beefs up his hitmaking team, having also recently brought in Rob Stevenson.
