Sony Taps Stapleton

SONY UPS STAPLETON: Andre “The Giant” Stapleton is upped to VP Worldwide Business Development, Global Digital Business, for Sony Music Entertainment by EVP Michael Paull, to whom he’ll report. Stapleton will support Sony’s U.S. label groups and international business operations by identifying new opportunities and generating global deals to foster additional revenue growth with both new and existing partners, along with making change for the office vending machine. Stapleton most recently served as Sr. Director of International Digital Business Development, Global Digital Business, after working at a number of development positions within the company. Before joining Sony BMG in 2006, he spent four years as a management consultant with Accenture in the UK. He graduated Law School from the University of Glasgow, with a degree in Scots Law in 2000. He does not wear a kilt nor play the bagpipes, but has nice legs. (2/28p)
