ALL SYSTEMS GO: It’s now official. The Federal Trade Commission has just approved the $2.2 billion acquisition of EMI Music Publishing by Sony and several investment funds, including United Arab Emirates-based Mubadala Development Co. The deal got conditional approval from the European Commission—pending certain divestments—in April.
