ARGO ON THE GO: In its third week, Warner Bros.' Oscar-contending Argo climbed to the top of the box office heap with a take of $12m, raising its total to $61m, for a per-screen average of $4.3k. The Top 12 box office grossers were off 12% from last year with $82m. Sony’s animated Hotel Tansylvania added another $9.5m to its five-week take, bringing its total to a robust $130m for a per-screen average of $2.9k. WB’s Cloud Atlas debuted at #3 with a disappointing $9.4m for the epic, which reportedly cost more than $100m, though it did boast a chart-leading $4.7k in per-theater average. Last week’s chart-topper, Paramount’s Paranormal Activity 4, added $8.6m to a total now at $43m, while Fox’s Taken 2, inits fourth week, scored $8m for a total of $117m, tying it with Silent Hill: Revelation 3D in its first week. The big news, though, was overseas, with the latest James Bond movie, Skyfall, scoring an impressive $77.7m in 25 foreign markets this week.
