Hurricane Sandy Wreaks Havoc

STORM WREAKS HAVOC: Hurricane Sandy has decimated the East Coast music industry, with most major labels and talent agencies shuttered for the second consecutive day, and a full slate of concerts postponed for today and tomorrow. Live events in New York, New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, have been affected, including a Sunday John Legend performance at Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center, costing the concert business millions in marketing and promotion expenses. Shows impacted today include: Tristan Prettyman (Brighton Music Hall, Boston); Joshua Radin (Electric Factory, Philadelphia); Journey (Barclays Center); Grouplove (9:30 Club, Washington, D.C.); and the "Freedom To Love Now!" benefit concert for marriage equality, featuring Rufus Wainwright, The National, fun. and Beth Orton at N.Y.;s Beacon Theatre, which has now been postponed until next spring.
