30STM single in space launch

SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS: Thirty Seconds to Mars’ new single "Up in the Air" will be launched—literally—tomorrow in the cargo capsule on the second SpaceX mission to the International Space Station. The bandmembers will be on hand to watch the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the capsule lift off at 10:10 a.m. EST from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral. The capsule will be filled with more than 1,200 pounds of scientific experiments and cargo, including the first copy of "Up in the Air." You can watch the launch at nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html, while details and updates on the mission are available on NASA's website at nasa.gov/station. On Monday, March 18, the band will visit Mission Control Houston for a Q&A with Tom Marshburn, one of the astronauts aboard the space station, to be broadcast live online, with details available shortly at thirtysecondstomars.com. "Up In The Air" will premiere worldwide on the 18th and become commercially available the next day. It’s the first single from 30STM's fourth studio album, coming later this year from the Capitol Music Group. (2/28a)
