HOW’D THEY DO THAT? Here’s a fascinating outtake from Simon Glickman’s in-depth examination of RCA and manager Johnny Wright’s brilliant marketing plan for Justin Timberlake’s blockbuster The 20/20 Experience, which we guarantee you do not wanna miss. “We had lots of conversations about music,” label ruler Peter Edge recalled of the genesis of the album, “and when he went in the studio it was just sort of magical. He had all these songs really quickly, which is so rare, and we toyed with the idea of a double album but felt that was a lot. That idea morphed into the two-part set, with the second part coming later in the year.
