ACM noms

FOLLOW THEIR ARROWS: Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw lead the field in for the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, broken out online this morning, with seven nominations apiece, one more than Keith Urban. Country’s progressive movement is once again represented by the Grammy-laden Kacey Musgraves, who notches five noms, same as Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton and Lee Brice. Considering the duo’s historic crossover move, Florida Georgia Line seems a bit under-represented with four, tied with Lady Antebellum, while Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker are each up for three. Shelton and Bryan will co-host the show, telecast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas on 4/6 on CBS. Interestingly, Kacey’s BFF and soon-to-be tour mate Katy Perry was among the 17 people who were on hand to reveal the names of the nominees during the digital press conference, comprising video postings to the Academy’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The ACMs are one of 14 award shows presented each year by the Allen Shapiro-led Dick Clark Productions. (1/29a)
