Ariana

GRANDE OPENING: My Everything, the sophomore album from Republic's breakout diva Ariana Grande, is due out on 8/25, with preorders available here. The album (announced by the singer on Ryan Seacrest's show on Saturday) features collaborations with Max Martin, The Weeknd, Big Sean, A$AP Ferg and Childish Gambino, as well as songwriting by Harry Styles of One Direction, Ryan Tedder and Benny Blanco , among others. The deluxe edition will contain three additional tracks, including a surprise collaboration to be announced later. As we mentioned earlier, the singer—whose "Problem" f/Iggy Azalea hit #1 at Pop and Rhythm and has been at or near the top of iTunes since its arrival, setting various sales records—will be the center of a revived Total Request Live MTV broadcast, Total Ariana Live, a 30-minute special airing on Wednesday (7/2) from Times Square. The show will find the pop siren debuting new single "Break Free" (produced by Zedd) and performing an acoustic "Problem." Ariana will also lend her pipes to Macy's July 4 fireworks show, a VH1 special with The Roots and an 8/29 Today Show takeover. In other words, she'll be everywhere. Republic chief Monte Lipman hailed the album as the ultimate statement of the label's ethos, while Charlie Walk had the cover art stenciled onto his leather Varvatos pants. (6/30a)
