OPEN WHAMMY BAR: Beats Electronics Prexy Luke Wood has joined the Board of Directors at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. Among other recent additions to the board, U2's Bono and The Edge joined in May. "My first amplifier was a Fender Twin Reverb and my Fender Jazzmaster guitar is, in my opinion, the perfect instrument,” proclaimed Wood. "Fender's combination of iconic design and unbeatable tone has informed and inspired everything I have ever done as a musician, record executive and now as President of Beats.
