Pat Magnarella/Roger Klein Art for Pete FRI AM

THEY ART L.A.: Pat Magnarella, longtime manager of Green Day and Goo Goo Dolls, and former A&R executive Roger Klein have not so quietly built a visual-arts management roster over the past eight years. Visual artists are all too used to doing everything on their own, with little promotional help and gallery fees sometimes as high as 50%—but Magnarella and Klein have resolved these issues for their clients. Blending in their knowledge of the music management world to support and highlight visual artists the pair have staged multiple highly visible sold-out art shows in L.A., N.Y.C. and London. This Friday, they're hosting a massive VIP preview of their newest show, Scars & Stripes by famed British urban artist D*Face. The event will include a private dinner, hosted by property developer and art collectors Teddy Karatz and wife Heather. The show opens to the public Saturday 9/27 at 315 South Robertson Blvd. Last year's "pop-up" show with English painter Charming Baker at MILK Studios attracted more than 2,000 people on opening night, including members of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, AFI, Atticus Ross and Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen, along with a raft of the world's most prominent art world super collectors, including Hard Rock Cafe founder Peter Morton.
