Miami rapper Rick Ross Don good. The hip-hop icon’s new Def Jam/IDJ album, Teflon Don, knocks Eminem’s Shady/Aftermath/Interscope effort Recovery from the top after a run of four weeks, edging Slim Shady by less than 1,000 pieces with a total of 189k.

A&M’s Sheryl Crow blues album, 100 Miles from Memphis, is the week’s other top debut, bowing at #3 with 55k, followed by Drake’s Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown release, Thank Me Later.

Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop 18, another in its cottage industry of best-sellers, rounds out the Top 5 with its entry.

Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber is up next at #6, giving label rulers Reid and Bartels two in the Top 6, with Walt Disney’s Jonas L.A. soundtrack debuting at #7.

Capitol/EMI’s Now 34 (#8), InPop’s Newsboys (#9) and Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Lady Antebellum (#10) complete the top of the sales heap.

Standby/Victory’s Black Veil Brides (#33), Saguard Road’s Marc Cohn (#35), Decca’s David Garrett (#40) and Watertower Music’s Hans Zimmer Inception score soundtrack (#46) all register Top 50 debuts.

Columbia’s Train (#38), Big Machine’s Taylor Swift (#43) and RCA/RMG’s Christina Aguilera (#48) all re-enter the chart.

Reprise’s Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers lead the double-digit gainers with the critically acclaimed Mojo, moving #31-21, +31% on the week, along with Columbia’s Glee album Journey to Regionals (#39-29, +20%), LaFace/JLG’s Usher (#19-13, +16%) and Hear Music/Concord’s Carole King & James Taylor (#22-20, +13%).

This week’s releases include Warner Bros.’ Avenged Sevenfold, Kedar/Fontana’s Dru Hill, Lost Highway’s Tom Jones gospel album and Atlantic’s Step Up 3D soundtrack. Merge’s eagerly anticipated third Arcade Fire album, The Suburbs, hits on Aug. 3, along with Rap-a-Lot’s Bun B and Eleven Seven’s Buckcherry, while J/RMG's Mike Posner has his debut slated for release on Aug. 10. What promises to be the summer’s next big record, Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream on Capitol/EMI, is now slated for Aug. 24.
