What do Hollywood Undead and Jeremih have in common?

Absolutely nothing except both are riding the HITS Vibe-Raters train to mainstream success.

A&M/Octone’s Hollywood Undead remain an impressive artist development story for James Diener and crew. The band’s web-fueled success is now spreading as they re-enter at #5, with adds on “Young” at KUCD and KRAB, climbing into the Top 25 at Active Rock and Toip 40 at Modern Rock, with rotation at KTEG, KCCQ and DC101. The video is being played at MTV2, Fuse and Music Choice, while the group launches its international summer festival tour dates prior to a headlining jaunt. The album is now approaching 400k in sales and moving a steady 10-11k a week. See the Vibe-Rater entry here.

Newcomer Jeremih, a Chicago-based R&B singer/songwriter, is exploding with his “Birthday Sex” novelty smash on Mick Shultz Prod/Def Jam/IDJ. The song is #1 Urban, Top 10 Crossover, and now starting to make moves on Top 40 with early adopters such as KIIS, KHTS, WKQI, KKHH, WKST and more. Look for upcoming Vibe feature, with self-titled album hitting June 30. See his Vibe-Rater blurb here.
