Can Michael Phelps sing? How about his mom?

JONAS ON TOP A LITTLE BIT LONGER

Hollywood Records Rockers Will Be #1 a Second Week, Mamma Mia!, Kid Rock and Staind Will Battle for #2
Hollywood’s teenpop heartthrobs will get another week to strut their stuff at the head of the class.

The Jonas Brothers will stay #1 A Little Big Longer, even if they lose the usual 60-70% from their first-week total of 515k.

The summer’s surprise smash, Decca’s Mamma Mia! soundtrack, will battle it out for #2 with Atlantic’s Kid Rock and Atlantic’s Staind, the week’s biggest debut, somewhere in the 95k range.

Other Top 50 bows will include The Firm Music/EMI’s Ice Cube (65k) and Suretone/ Interscope’s Shwayze, which is trending toward 45k right now, but could go even higher with multiple showings of the Buzzin’ reality series on MTV this week. Finally, Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance Chicago emo-rockers The Academy Is… looks in the 30k range for their new album, Fast Times at Barrington High.

Overall, the market was up 2% vs. last week, down 13% vs. same week last year, and still hovering around 11% year-to-date, which brings up this thought: Can Michael Phelps sing? How about his mom?
