Friday night’s telethon raised more than $57 million as of Saturday afternoon, a new mark for donations made by the general public through a disaster-relief telethon. The results include all donations made by phone, online and mobile, but does not include those made by coprporations and large private donors.
It also doesn’t include iTunes sales figures for the Hope for Haiti Now album, which logged the biggest one-day album pre-order in the Apple site’s history.
Currently, the release is the #1 iTunes album in 18 countries. The studio version of “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour),” the original track performed by Jay-Z, Bono, the Edge and Rihanna, is the #1 iTunes song in 12 countries.

Among the individual tracks, the best-seller is Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris and Charlie Sexton's version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," followed by Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock and Keith Urban's "Lean on Me," Taylor Swift's version of Better Than Ezra's "Breathless" and Jennifer Hudson's "Let It Be," featuring the Roots.
